The Japanese Friendship Garden is delighted to present "Hokusai Wave,” an exhibition by San Diego based photographer Kotaro Moromura. This exhibition showcases a series of his photographic works, inspired from Japanese Ukiyo-e artist Katsushika Hokusai (1760-1849). He depicts nature by his keen eye for observation and sophisticated expressionism brought nature vividly in his works. By using a fast shutter speed, Kotaro captures the details of the waves and water droplets in a dynamic way, which is reminiscent of Hokusai's expression.
